Live sandbox design · simulated ZAR only · no real money moves.
Built around real life
WenaPay is being designed to bring everyday digital payments into familiar messaging journeys — so sending money to someone or paying a participating merchant feels clear and direct.
Less friction between intent and action. More momentum for the people and businesses moving South Africa forward.
The current sandbox experience
The current rehearsal covers the full first-time journey: merchant request, customer onboarding, consent and checks, wallet funding, protected confirmation and matching receipts.

The merchant creates a R250 request and shares its QR or secure link.
The first-time customer registers, consents, passes sandbox checks and creates a PIN.
The customer adds R500 in simulated funds and receives a funding receipt.
WenaPay shows the merchant, amount, purpose, balance and fee before confirmation.
Both phones receive the same reference; the merchant result is paid and reconciled.
